Schedule 1 has received its first "proper" update, playable now during the open beta before its full release.
News in brief
- Developer TVGS announced the update on the game's steam hub.
- Version 0.3.4 Open Beta will be open to anyone until April 9.
- There's no official release date for the update following the open beta.
Though we don't yet know when the full Schedule 1 update will land, it could be around April 11/12. Developer TVGS (known as "Tyler") announced plans to test all updates in Steam's beta branch "for a day or two" pending wider release.
The update currently available in open beta doesn't include all features from the full update but should give players a good idea of what to expect, letting them play around with some different locations and items.
Decorative updates incoming
The main focus of this update seems to be location overhauls and decorative items. Upgrades to the Pawn Shop include allowing players to sell everything to Mick, the shop owner, with the exception of illicit items. Bleuballs Boutique has also received a facelift, with changes to the interior.
Players can expect new decorative items including a grandfather clock, antique wall lamp, metal and wooden signs, and even a safe. Decorative items aside, we're also expecting a slew of bug fixes, improved customer dialog options, and more.
Since its release on March 24, Schedule 1 has received a warm welcome from players. Right now the title has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam rating, with over 79,000 reviews.
The drug-dealing indie simulation is currently in early access and is being managed by a solo developer. TVGS is open to player , revealing a desire to improve and evolve the game with fan-approved and fan-tested changes. Players can report any issues with or on the open beta via the beta branch Steam forum.
